The Odyssey undertaken by Odysseus took ten years to get from Troy to Ithaca and he was often at the mercy of the Gods, mythological creatures and amorous nymphs. My journey will take me from Nordkapp, the most northern point of Norway to Tarifa, the southernmost point of Spain. The bit in the middle is all up for discussion and will be approximately 5,000 miles and I am looking forward to some similarly extraordinary encounters along the road.
I am doing this to raise money for two charities that I feel reflect the spirit of the cycle odyssey. To find out more about my chosen charities and to donate please visit the charities page

Hi Stewart – great to meet you too and thank you so much for your sponsorship – so generous of you. I got to blaye on good time but unfortunately after 5000 or so miles my gearshifters and cables need replacing so I’m hoping to get back on the road later this afternoon. Thanks for all your support!
